URBAN OUTFITTERS

FASHION ACTIVISTS

The Urban Outfitters Fashion Activists collaboration with London College of Fashion was a project to promote diversity and delve into the idea of activism and how this could be illustrated through fashion. Choosing the Extinction Rebellion as group of activists and focus my project on plastic pollution was a great step in terms of thinking about sustainability and the future of the fashion industry. The plastic pollution is trapping the helpless sea creatures and causing many species to become endangered. My aim was to create a garment that would replicate the feeling of being trapped as well as developing a look that would fit in with the aesthetic of Urban Outfitters. This photo shoot of the look elaborates more on the concept; showing the model caught in a piece of plastic sheet, surrounded by water and nature.
